Elmo (Graham Van Faasen) and Cinde

We had an amazingly fun day on friday with all the Halloween activities. The girls loved wearing their frilly, ruffly Princess dresses. Beatrice was Lianna from Barbie Diamond Castle and Sylvie was Cinderella (a costume she had gotten from Auntie Laura for her birthday). They both got way too much candy!

FUNschool Halloween Party

Bebe and Will trick or treating downtown Holland
Molly and Bebe in class prior to trick or treating

I helped out in Bea's class for the downtown trick or treating adventure. Bea stood right at the door to her class and watched all the kids come in with their costumes on. She loved every minute of it!

Will (french fries) Noah, Sophie, Abby, and Beatrice

Beatrice, Dylan, Emment, Leah, Jillian in full costumes!

Halloween Fun

sylvie with her friend, josh, at Little Hands Big Ideas, pumpkin day!

Bea was sooo excited to carve our pumpkin. She picked out a silly face from a book for the carving.

Beatrice LOVES gymnastics! I was surprised when she said she wanted to take gymnastics again over ballet lessons. Fine with me since gymnastics are only $35 through Zeeland Rec.! She had such a great time running the obstacle course to the song, "Lollipop", and wearing her cute, pink leotard. Next she said she wants to take art classes...we'll see!

GR Marathon

What a beautiful crisp Fall day for the GR Marathon! Uncle Colin and Haans ran together on Sunday, Oct.16, 2008, attempting to qualify for Boston. Unfortunately, Uncle Colin's legs cramped up around mile 20 and the boys had to walk quite a bit of the last 6 miles. Ironically the same cramping happened to Haans when he ran Boston last year! So Haans knew exactly what pain Colin was suffering! We had a great time despite and what a miracle to even say that you finished a marathon- way to go Daddy and Uncle Scratchy!!
